Liz Buckle

Secretary

I'm Liz Buckle. In my professional life I started off as a public librarian, having studied history at university. In Manchester I managed library services for diverse communities across a big part of the city including some of the most deprived neighbourhoods. My career morphed to working in a large government environmental agency where I held a number of senior roles mostly in the asset / property management and business change areas. I ‘retired’ about 10 years ago but have worked on and off for about 4 years of it! I find the concept of retirement is quite dated! I'm lucky to have 2 grown up children and 2 fab granddaughters.  I squeeze in time for them along with my passion for traveling and growing things in my garden and at my allotment. I'm very much an 'outdoor' person . So having a dog is another key part of my life

Outside work, she enjoys food and wine, cooking herself, paddle boarding and Pilates and beautiful cars in general as she used to be a car racer.
